We at HAC put into practice the teachings of the Catholic Church on Sacred Music and sing for all Archdiocesan Events.
The Purpose and Aim of HAC is to:

Become an integral part of the Liturgy (SC VI-112)

Learn to use hymns (Lyrics) as per the conformity of the Catholic doctrine and as per the Roman Missal especially while singing the parts of the mass & Responsorial Psalm. (SC VI-121)

Sing for every major event of the Archdiocese, such as; Chrism Mass, Archdiocesan gatherings and important Liturgical celebrations, United Christians Christmas Celebrations, Telangana CM’s Christmas celebrations, and to sing for Nuptial Mass and Funeral Mass for those who value Liturgical Singing.

Sing in different languages (English, Latin, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi) for the common diocesan celebrations. Promote the local and traditional music of the place where we live and adopt hymns in different languages as per the background of the congregation (SC VI-119)

Consider singing in the liturgy, not as a performance, competition or exhibiting one's talent but helping the congregation pray better and making the liturgy solemn

Promote and use of Gregorian chants especially by chanting of the Responsorial Psalms & Gospel Acclamation (SC VI-116)

Learn to sing Latin chants and parts of the Mass

Learning unknown & meaningful hymns and sing as per the rubrics of the liturgy (SC VI-118)

Learn to sing Latin chants and parts of the Mass

Create a network of ‘Sacred Music’ Ministers around the Archdiocese of Hyderabad.

Get trained and in turn train the choir members of respective parishes.

Respect each one’s talents and capabilities and work with equality.

Make sure that the accompaniments (instruments) are to support the singing and the lyrics that are being sung are to be heard and meditated upon, and not otherwise.

Keep the ego & pride away & follow the Trinitarian aspect of a song;

Ragam, Thalam, Pallavi / Rag, Thal, Bhol / Tune, Rhythm, Lyric…Remember everyone is important in a choir

Pray, sing work, walk, listen, learn, in Unison

Be committed, dedicated and disciplined

Add delight to prayer, fosters unity of minds, confer greater solemnity upon the sacred rites (SC VI-112)
